Motherland Braids

I want to start off by saying Motherland does a great job & the previous times of going to them I did not have locs. This was my first time going to Motherland since having my locs. You Can Clearly See my locs and my tip color through the braid & some of the braids are not even ❗️ Braids over locs I Don’t Recommend ❗️

I have been going to this braid shop 12 years. This shop is the best shop in Memphis and the only shop I will let do my hair. Things that I like most about them is. They are very nice people, 2 people works on your head so you can be in and out fast. So if you ever in Memphis and need your hair braided stop by motherland braids❤️❤️❤️

My experience was totally unprofessional and inappropriate for a salon environment. There was a newborn crying and two other children running and playing throughout the shop. The women worked together to feed, rock, and correct the children. Hair was all around the floor which presented a safety hazard for guest, the children, and the workers. The environment was extremely noisy. I watched as women left the shop with long beautiful braided styles. The stylist who started working my hair in the back, worked for about two hours, took two extensive breaks, was on the phone the entire time. The second time she just didn’t come back. The lady who booked my appointment came inside walking very fast and said “im sorry mam I’ll fix this don’t worry we’re going to take care of you” as she rushed s

Got there at 7:47 am shop open at 8:00 am braiders did start showing up until 9:30 am! Their braiding routine is off get there first and still be the last to leave! I was there from 7:47 am until 7:00 pm almost 12 hours for some medium boho knotless is INSANE! & when you call to get price quote make sure you ask the person name gave you the price cause whoever answering that phone just throwing out prices and when you get there it’ll be a higher price! My hair pretty though but service suck
