Mostafa's Barber Shop

I felt very uncomfortable with the barber and his lack of communication in English. Not everyone here is speaks and understands Arabic. This area of Steinway nevertheless is local to the Arab community so you'd pretty much be alienated if you aren't of that descent. I only wish this place presented itself with a more open/positive attitude. I know for a fact that they make great haircuts, I've seen it but, I only wish they smiled, greeted, and spoke in English more often. They instead treat me not as customer but, as a nobody. I will not be coming to this place again, and as a fair warning to any newcomers who don't speak Arabic, you've been warned.

Mustapha is on point. Real gentleman who knows how to give a good haircut. Very open schedule as well. A guy like me whose sleeping during the day and awake at night it becomes difficult to go to the barber in the day but here he’s available sometimes until 11-12 so it works out perfect for me.

Really great job. Highly recommended to come here if you need a good haircut. Best of all it’s high quality and professional for a good amount of money. Certified barber.

He talked the whole time while he was cutting my hair and he doesn’t have a lot of experience and he will charge you more than what it’s says. Never coming back.

Mostafa’s is my go to! He has a great homey vibe to his shop and tons of great conversation.
