I spent $1,400 at Moss & Moon, and the extensions were a disaster. They started falling apart within days, with strings sticking out everywhere. The extensions were far too heavy for my fine hair, causing pain, scalp tension, and real concern about long term damage. When I finally went to another salon after three weeks, the stylists were shocked at the state of my hair. They said the install was so sloppy and poorly done that if I had left it in any longer, I could have developed tension alopecia and permanent damage to my scalp. I came to Marissa after a poor experience with my previous salon. My extensions had caused me tension alopecia and had sores that were bleeding, hurting and an insane knot in my extensions that needed immediate attention. Marissa scheduled me for that day and removed the extensions. She gave me honest feedback and advice that I trusted. After removing them she gave multiple different solutions and I decided to order new extensions. The extensions were late to be delivered but she consistently gave updates and made a special appointment on her day off to install them before I had to leave for a wedding. I had the best experience with Allison! I originally booked a partial balayage but ended up doing a full balayage with a cut at the last minute and she was so accommodating and fit me into her schedule. The end result came out even better than I had imagined, I absolutely love my hair! Allison was awesome to talk to throughout the whole process, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Even though I’m only in the area for a couple of months, I would definitely come back just to see Allison again. She’s the only one I trust with my hair now!

She is thoughtful, talented, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure you leave her chair feeling confident and cared for. She listens, she explains, she checks in, and she takes pride in her work in a way that is rare in this industry. Watching the recent negative reviews come in has honestly been upsetting. Marissa is my go to. I know she had a few other stylists working at the salon, but I waited for her schedule to clear up no matter how bad my roots looked. @Amanda, 100% agree with your review. It sucks that people lie. Example, who ever Katie is, my extensions don't look like that. It looks like altered, shotty work. This is classic buyers remorse and a demand for $1,400 back on your credit card. It probably was too expensive of a service for you anyways. I have ten referrals Marissa services (all extensions) and none of them look like that and NEVER complained. I call BS and you doing this to a small business owner is gross, about as gross as the cross weaving your friend did.
