I absolutely love Modern Nailz by Kylie! The staff is so friendly and welcoming every time I come in, and the wait time was super short today, which is such a plus. I was recommended to get the new gel builder set, and the gel builder set came out so cute and flawless — the shape and shine are perfect! The gel builder doesn’t feel heavy like regular acrylic nails. They are very light. The salon is clean, modern, and relaxing, and everyone makes sure you’re comfortable from start to finish. Definitely my go-to spot in Chalmette for beautiful gel nails and great vibes!

Nice place but I wouldn’t recommend the young guy to do your nails. He tried to charge me $54 for garbage. I know they are capable of doing good nails so I’m really not sure why they did such a bad job on my request of simple French tips. I showed a photo and the young man who did my nails said he was going to use a white tip and it was going to look like the picture I showed him , so I trusted him. At the end it looked horrible. The white of the French tip covered half my nail bed . And then him and the owner blamed me and refused to apologize and said that I need to ask more clearly for what I want … but what could be more clear than a photo ? Anyways I went back the next day and asked for a refund and he said if I want a full refund they have to remove the nails (petty) so I didn’t

Kevin did a great job on my nails. I had struggled with a gel allergy and we found acrylic and a basic clear coat doesn’t cause a reaction! 10/10 recommend!

Alan is a great asset to Modern Nails.. He’s professional and always does a good job on my nails…The Ladies always does an amazing job on my toes as well….Thank you
