I initially enjoyed Mochi Nails because my first visit left me very satisfied. However, after several visits, my gel manicures began chipping within just a few days. When I returned to have them fixed after another incident, I was told I was one day late for their 7-day repair window. Since I work and can’t always get my nails fixed immediately after I just had them done!!! I’ll never return to Mochi Nails. There are plenty of better nail salons in the area, and I can assure you that they offer better service.
I was really excited to get my nails done at Mochi. I went in for an acrylic soak off and hopefully a cat eye to my natural short nails. However during the “soak off” my tech painfully pried them off with a metro card and took part of my natural nail off, leaving it sticking out with flesh underneath. It hurts and gets caught on things. I understand my natural nail was thin, but this simply wouldn’t happen if you actually soak them off in acetone all the way, rather than yank them off the natural nail. Nobody should have to pay $25 for an injury. And they didn’t even give me the cat eye! After requesting they stop and leave my nails bare post injury multiple times they just put on sparkly red gel anyway? Avoid, avoid, avoid! I’m happy others had positive experiences, but don’t go in for
The manager did a beautiful job with my nails, but I was definitely overcharged. She was willing to fix my nails when I wasn’t satisfied with a previous nail shop’s service. Initially, she offered to do it for $124. As the service went on, she continued to change & increase the price. I noticed she kept talking to her co-workers about raising the amount. She said with GelX it would be $130, then said with the acrylic it would be $150. Which I thought was a bit much, so I stuck to the $130 price. As the service continued, she then told me for a specific add-on (glitter) it would be an additional $30. I rejected. I ended up leaving the nail shop almost paying half of $200 for simple French Tip nails. She charged me an amount that I didn’t agree to. After paying I left, then they called me
My friend recommended this place and she got a red base with cat eye overlay while I got a cat eye with chrome at the tip of my nails. They were incredibly helpful!
I loved this place. Friendly clean. Great knowledge on modern trends. My first time there and they made me feel like i had gone there forever. I will definitely come back and refer everyone. My nails came out so beautiful i felt brand new. Everyone is friendly and convenient!!
