mk LUSH Salon and Spa

I've seen Violet at mk LUSH twice now, and I knew after my first appointment that I'd return. I have naturally curly (2a/3c-ish) hair, and she's blessed with this intuitive gift for translating my hair goals and gripes into a cut that often earns me compliments! The space is welcoming and accommodating, the vibe is relaxed and warm. Very impressed by and grateful to have access to such a salon. Would recommend anytime!

I went to the MK Lush in 2023 and had Violet give me a keratin treatment. The keratin treatment was done wrong and has completely destroyed my hair. After calling multiple times and leaving voicemails and sending messages, my concerns were finally returned. I went back two or three times for resolutions that did not work. After years my hair is still destroyed and I've had to cut my hair shoulder length to get rid of the Dead ends that the treatment caused (about 4-5 inches). This was the length that I cut off my hair when I was a teenager and is taken this long to me being 33 at the time to grow back. I used black castor oil on my hair for years now to try to remediate the damage that was done. It works for a couple of days but my hair is permanently damaged from this botched treatment. I

If you have curly or wavy hair and wanted it styled by Violet maybe look for someone else. I went for a Shampoo/Blowout/Curl for an event I was going to that night. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and wanted to have wavy loose curls and showed the reference photo (blonde hair) below. She was so nice and I thought we were on the same page about what I wanted which was my hair to be curled!!! She pulled out rollers which I was skeptical since what I showed her most likely was achieved with a curling iron and I also have textured hair so rollers don’t really work on me and my hair needs heat to really pull off a curl like that……but she assured me that it would work. I absolutely love going to Violet when I need my hair done. I don’t know much about hair let alone what to do with mine, but I wanted something different this time, something out of my comfort zone and I only trusted Violet to do it and girlllss..she delivered. I love the color, I love way it feels whenever she straightened it and I love my length - Violet trimmed what was needed to make my hair happy and healthy again, but it still has length just like I wanted. And now that it is curly again, I love it even more! Thank you, Violet!

I went to Marina Bahks at Mk Lush and got a partial highlight, and I have never gotten such an amazing partial before. Marina is so patient, especially with someone like me who has a lot of hair. She got me exactly to the color blonde I wanted and I left with my hair feeling healthier than before. Marina is the best and the sweetest, I can’t wait to go back to her!
