Mitos Salon

I hired Paula to do hair for me and my wedding party and am SO thrilled with her work! She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for leading up to and during our consultation. The day of, she showed up early, and was so good at working with my wedding party, including my little flower girls! I was impressed at how skilled and fast she was, and how she was able to tailor each hairstyle to our individual styles and hair concerns. I highly recommend her for any special event hairstyling you need!

Chantel (@artofchantel on Instagram) has been my go-to for the last 10 years! She takes into consideration your lifestyle, how you typically maintain your hair, your hair’s current health, and hair goals, to name a few. She sets clear expectations of the process to keep the integrity of your hair while making sure you achieve the look you want and to make it last beyond leaving the salon chair. Everyone at Mitos is amazing at what they do, so you can’t go wrong with any of them.

I can only say good things about this salon. The place is super clean, very classy looking and all the stylists are exceptional. I have been coming to this salon for more than a decade and have been following Mitos for my hair and grooming wherever she goes for I have never found anyone who could match her talent and professionalism . If I can give her more than 5 stars , I would but this site doesn’t go higher than than. So let me put it here: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I booked appointment for haircut online. When I arrived for my appointment, I was treated unprofessionally and received impression that I was not welcomed . The hair stylist Immie with whom my appointment was booked was with another client and made a comment that I already cancelled his appointment. Guys, don’t make appointments with them.

I’ve been here twice. Mitos, the owner, and Paula both did a great job cutting and styling my chin-length bob. Unfortunately, Mitos and Paula are the only stylists who can cut hair above the shoulder, which the salon categorizes as “pixie cuts.” And, their availability is very limited. The website doesn’t state this, leading to the miscommunications and cancellations that I experienced. Mitos for Hair is great for customers with very long hair. It’s not the best place for the many women in the East Bay who have shorter hair. Honestly, I was surprised that this popular spot had such limited services for very common haircuts.
