MINT NAILS AND SPA ( ReOpen 3/20)

I just had my nails done by Vickie. Gel polish with an American manicure. She was very sweet and careful when cutting my cuticles. Often times most salons cut too much and I leave with bloody fingers. I was also very happy with the price. It was my first time at this facility and I will be coming back to Vickie in two weeks. Thank you Vickie for a great experience!

Do NOT go here. I just recieved the worst acrylic full set.. bulky and uneven. I kindly asked my tech if she wouldnt mind making my acrylics look not so bulky.. just to file them more on the sides because they looked extremely thick. she ignored me and immediately spoke to her nail tech next to her in their language.. then they both proceeded to look at me rudely and it made me uncomfortable. she gave me a nasty attitude asking me “which nail you want fixed” i kindly said i just want them all filed a little more please on the sides. meanwhile to help her i looked through my phone to find a picture of my nails before when they were done correctly and how they usually look. after showing her she shoved my phone across the table out of her way and barely fixed them…. i’m baffled at the rudene

3 times I been there. They grind the gel off till I have no nails left. They have yet to take the gel off the correct way. And dumb me gave each tech a 50% tip. Disgrace. I also told them don't make the nails pointed. That didn't happen. Meanwhile the owner was going to do my nails and then said she had her appointment come in. I told her how I wanted my nails rounded. I guess my money wasn't good enough even though 3 different techs were given a 50% tip. Not the place for me. Nail places are a dime a dozen. I'll go somewhere else. Disgrace how certain people get treated better and I guarantee you those customers aren't tipping a 50% tip!! I went to the same nail guy for over 10 years, and if he moved, I followed him- he understood how picky I am but was the best. He finally moved too far away and after 10 years of having pink and white acrylics- I removed the overlays to reveal weak, brittle nails. I was so scared to go somewhere, to someone new-who would think I ask for perfection with all my standards and being so picky, that I would scare her with all my specific details. That's until I visited MINT NAILS. MINT NAILS in Washington Township handled my BIG personality with ease and humor. Lee is the girl who did such an amazing job, you need to ask for her! I’ve been thinking about this for a week. I thought I found a new salon but I will not be returning. The day after my dip polish chipped, I tried filing my nails down to hide it but it’s been chipping ever since. I got a light glitter, and the tech did not even shave all the orange gel off I had prior before doing the dip. I figured I would trust the process but I should’ve spoke up. How can you not see it!? She was lazy and rushed. She also burned me on my pedicure with this automatic foot file, I yelped like a dog and the entire salon stared at me. It hurt so bad. She also made my big toe bleed by picking at it. I can’t believe she didn’t even apologize. Horrible horrible experience.
