Mimi’s Beauty Salon

Mimi's is now my solid favorite for haircuts, excelling in cut, price, and time. The layering work is some of the best I've found. I especially love that you can opt for a dry cut, which I prefer since I have cowlicks that cause my hair to sit differently dry than wet. A dry cut better reflects how my hair will look day to day, dried with my consumer hairdryer and my selected part. Very great bonus that it also means I can be in and out in 15-20 min.

I was so happy to find Mimi after moving to Chicago a few years ago. My hair type makes it hard for someone to understand the waviness and texture. Mimi definitely understood the assignment. 🙌🏼 I always leave happy with the results and my hair has become so healthy since I began going to her salon.

My daughter has been getting her hair done here since 2014, and we’ve never had a bad experience—10/10 every time. They specialize in curly and textured hair, and every stylist is excellent, including Mimi herself, who is incredibly kind and understanding. I recommend this salon to everyone I know, and they always end up coming back.

Mimi is great!! She gave me a haircut and matched the cut exactly as the photo I wanted, was very quick too. I came back a week later to get my hair dyed and she did such a good job!! I asked for highlights but she told me a balayage is more in style and I’m glad I took her recommendation bc it looks great!

The only person I trust with my hair is Mimi😭 She’s so quick with it, she’s a master at her craft! Last time I went, I got my hair colored and she got it to the exact color I was looking for. Mimi is amazing, I recommend her to everyone💗
