Mimi Hair Supplies

In May 2025, I came to this location to buy a ponytail (instant pony color # 1) even though the owner has been changed many times I have been a faithful customer and I decided to give this location a few tries. The price was $ 9.99 without taxes. When I arrived at home I thought that the item was fine. I decided to wear it on Monday decided on Monday morning by my surprise I realize that the pot detail was not cut evenly and correctly. I decided to take it back for an exchange the owner at the cash register reply “No, it’s the way they are made”. I asked him to replace it, and he refused and sprayed the ponytail with some kind of moisturizing spray then shook ,(as it will change anything, but definitely not to growth!! Now, he has definitely lost a valuable customer and that for sure ! 🥴

It’s my first time been to the store about a week or two weeks ago. It’s friendly husband and wife and other sister that runs the store are amazing very cordial and I like being there for the first time.

I’ve always had good experiences at Mimi’s. Never had anyone treat me rude, someone has almost always been available to help me find the product that I was looking for & I have never been treated rudely…the total opposite! Ive been shopping here for over 10 years. They had another store in East Orange I shopped at as well. Mimi’s is a good place to shop for all your hair essentials.

Terrible service. Terrible attitudes. In addition, they raised their prices significantly since the Pandemic. And they now have the audacity to charge customers 25 cent for a bag to purchase their merchandise. I paid $100.00 for products and the cashier had the audacity to ask if I needed a bag for my items. I said of course, I cannot carry all of these items in my hands. She then proceeded to charge me 25 cents for the bag. Clearly this is just another way for stores to make extra money and get over on customers. Nonetheless, I will NOT be visiting this store again. I recommend everyone go to other Beauty Supply Store on the corner of Day Street and Main Street. It’s a few stores down. They regularly stock. They have better beauty products, with better “dates”.
