Mimi-Hair Braiding

I went there two weeks ago and my hair has fallen out from knotless braids! Also, there was roaches crawling from the ceiling and in and out of the mannequin eyes.

See i would have gave her more stars but the last experience, was not a good one. I was going here for almost a year, great braiding, conversation, and just all good vibes. I sent my daughter there to get just 2 cornrows, which she always gets, but I didn't go with her. She took this opportunity to keep the change from the payment given for the style, and told my child it was extra to comb her hair which is a lie, because I attended the shop numerous times, and no such charge exist. I called and she said to comb hair, then made up 2 more excuses, then told my daughter to walk back and get the change that was suppose to be given to her from the payment initially. I was a loyal customer of Mimi I've been going to her for years. She (Mimi) is so unprofessional to the point of just making her customers wait on her for no reason. I had an appointment with her at 9am, I got to the shop and she wasn't there so I called her and she said she was on her way. So I asked her how much longer will it take her to get to the shop, she stated that she would be there in 30 minutes, so I waited. At 10am I tried calling her but she did not answer meanwhile I was sitting in her shop waiting on her for an hour. So I asked the barber to call and low and behold she answers the phone and proceeded to tell that barber to tell me she will be there in a minute. This shop needs to bed shut down........ Besides the terrible job that was done on my hair, the shop is FILTHY and the staff is very rude. Being a business owners myself I know that customer service is key! The combs were filled with the hair of atleast 20 past clients, the walls had sockets with live wires hanging out, dust and dirt everywhere and then the owner Mimi says to me " my shop is cleaner than your whole house!" So I proceeded to take pictures! There were females eating in the back while customers were coming in for service. I will NEVER recommend anyone go there!!! And I will be calling the health department in the morning!!!!

A 23 y.o box braided my hair here the day before labor day. Got there at 1230pm. Waited until 5pm and left at midnight. Paid $140 for my braids to start slipping 4 days later. I honestly read the reviews before going, but still wanted to chance it. Gave you a chance with my money and you abused it!!
