Mike's Barbershop

My wife and I took our son here yesterday for the first time. Called in advance to make sure wait time was reasonable. It was. When we arrived the shops atmosphere was relaxing and interesting. Our son was seated right away. The woman who was available (she did not introduce herself) to cut my son’s hair wasn’t very friendly right from the start. My son asked for a specific haircut and when showed a picture of what he liked, she curtly responded with every reason why he cannot have that style/cut. Now, I truly understand that not every style can be done on everyone, my son’s request was reasonable and with some effort completely doable. To me, she seemed annoyed he asked. After ten minutes of trimming she was done. Not what my son asked for, but cleaned up a little. We left disappointed.

ruined my bfs hair a couple years ago and it made us break up. we switched barber shops and now we are getting married in august of 2026.

I went to have my beard trimmed and (Courtney?) did and excellent job. I have had my beard trimmed 4 times this year and the only 2 times it was done correctly was when it was cut at Mike's barber shop. Another great thing about getting my beard trimmed here is it's on $12. The other two places treated it like I was getting a hair cut and charged me as such. Finally, I went for an unscheduled appointment, and there were four people ahead of me with two barber's cutting hair. I was outta there in less than an hour. Abingbattaboom!

I went there 45 minutes before the advertised opening time because I drove by and saw someone inside getting a haircut and thought that maybe I had read the opening time wrong. So I had to park a few hundred feet away because all half dozen or so parking spots in front of the place were taken contrary to advertisement stating ample parking. Opened the front door and the barber giving someone a haircut told me his name and said that I needed an appointment to see him (because he is somehow special evidently) which is contrary to the advertised "walk-ins welcome." I asked him if there was any time that was less busy to avoid waiting time, and he seemed annoyed and gave me something along the lines of his "always being busy." Took my 3 year in for a much needed cut as a Walk-in. He was having a very rough time. I think it was the owner, Mike, who jumped in to help cut my son’s hair quicker along with our other barber. He had a very warm and kind demeanor. I was apologetic for bringing my son in whereas he was encouraging to come back sooner and not to feel bad about my son’s apprehension. Great experience!
