This is by far the best hair braiding salon I've ever been to. Madame Michelle and her staff are kind, skilled, and professional. The shop is always clean and they sanitize everything (including their hands) between clients. They use high quality hair and styling products, and my styles always last long. The prices are affordable and they're quick, so I'm never there for more than 3 hours at a time. They also offer free snacks/drinks, and they always have nice music or movies playing on the TV. I went in today to get box braids in the place of some twists I had. Due to the thickness of my hair and the size of the twists I got, they began to unravel shortly after being installed. I had an excellent experience at Michelle Hair Braiding! Awa did my bohemian braids, and I am absolutely in love with the result. She was very professional, patient, and paid great attention to detail. The braids are neat, lightweight, and look very natural. The atmosphere in the shop was welcoming and the service was fast and efficient. Awa really knows what she is doing and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Michelle did my daughter‘s knotless. It was my first time here. I was greeted with a smile and i let them know that I had an appointment. My daughter was seated in the braiding chair upon arrival. The energy in the shop was calm, welcoming and comfortable. It was not given sweatshop like most African hair braiding shops. Michelle was gentle, kind and soft spoken with my daughter which made me relaxed. It took less than two hours and she did a wonderful job. I will be returning for me and my daughter.
