Michael John is a very down to earth guy! Easy going! He Listens to you about the Hairstyle you are interested in. Understands your type of hair and is very knowledgeable if you have typical Male pattern baldness issues as well. I am from out of state and wanted a cut before heading back. I recommend Michael John Barber Shop Lounge as a go to place. I will return on my next visit in Albany. I've been going to Michael for a couple of months now. Michael is a true master of his craft and By far the best barber I ever had around the world. He takes his incredible knowledgeable to what haircuts works best for different hairstyles and advices his customers individually based on their unique hair growth pattern. This place is pretty cool. Very artistic decor, seating and a musician's ambience. A little different than other barbers, it seems preferred that you show up on time but not early for your booking to let the current customer benefit from a good one on one visit. Michael is as talented at relating to people as he is at cutting hair.

Great experience! Love that you can book an appointment online through Michael's website. The convenience of being able to see available dates & times that work with my schedule is awesome, and his hours of operation are convenient as well, good to know I can finally get a haircut after work during the weekday. Michael is also an easy dude to talk to and keep a conversation with, and it's nice to get his professional input on the type of hair cut you want. Also, the atmosphere of his shop is nice, definitely like the low-key and chill vibe he has going on. Think I've finally found my new barber. Oh, and the haircut came out great 👍
