The new nail tech they hired is absolutely AMAZING!! I’m a mail carrier so I am NOT easy on my nails at all. My first set with Kayla lasted 3 weeks! And today I came in SO nervous about the nail set I wanted for my second set to celebrate my baby boy coming soon. I had literally 10 different inspiration pictures and she really pulled them all together for my dream nail set today! I wouldn’t want anyone else to touch my nails ever again honestly. This is not about the salon but the nail person I had. Can't remember her name. I don't know if I just had bad luck because everyone else in the reviews seems to love their nails from here. I asked for French gel polish on my natural nails. The lady didn't put on a gel base or top coat. This is required for the chemical reaction that sets the polish. She just went straight to applying the polish and had me cure it in the UV light. When she was done with the polish, she used an alcohol swab, but of course it wouldn't set at all because of the lack of the gel base/top coat. This is really basic knowledge. I cannot say enough good things about this salon! My husband and I eloped at the Mercersburg Inn on Wednesday. I had made calls to several places a few months in advance. No one called me back except Mercersburg Hair Studio! I spoke with Barb who was so friendly and fun. She was more than happy to schedule my soon to be husband and I for appointments. She even helped me find a makeup artist!! I had a practice appointment the day before our wedding. The entire staff was so delightful and excited for me. Barb took her time and made sure that I had the style I wanted. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I truly felt I could be honest with her about what I liked and preferred. When I first moved to Mercersburg, I had just broken my wrist and couldn't manage my nails or my hair. I made an appointment with Cathy and she did a great job on my manicure, pedicure, and my haircut. Since that time, Cathy has cut both mine and my husband's hair and we are both very happy with our haircuts.
