Meraki Head Spa

After hearing so many great things about this head spa, I decided to give it a try. I will say the experience itself was very relaxing I’ll definitely give them that. However, I was very disappointed with what happened afterward. The service included a blow-dry, but the person who worked on my hair did not attempt to comb through or properly detangle it. She barely put any heat on it and sent me on my way. When I got home and tried to properly blow-dry my hair, it was nearly impossible. My hair was severely matted, and I lost a good amount trying to detangle it. I have thick, curly hair, and it was absolutely NOT matted before I came in. A friend and I went to M Head Spa for the first (and last) time. The treatments started off well with massage. When the time came to begin the hair wash, I laid there thinking about how to ask if they could make the water warmer. But then my provider told me she would be right back. Before I knew it, another technician came in saying the building was out of hot water, apologized, and told me to just hang tight. Unfortunate, but it’s no one’s fault. After awhile, it sounded like they were using a kettle to heat water and scoop it into a bucket. Then the providers finished washing my hair using the cold water from the hose and scoops of hot water. My friend’s hair was rinsed entirely with ice cold water. I have had good experiences here in the past but my $70 manicure chipped badly 24 hours after I got my nails done. The photos are from literally the next day. I reached out to the salon asking for a refund but they refused. They said “this is what happens when you mix gel & dip” but it was their own technician who suggested mixing them. Disappointed in the customer service here. I have been a regular customer in the past few years, but will now be taking my business elsewhere.

Visited the head spa for the Aphrodite treatment. Very relaxing and I like that the mini facial was included. But when she combed through my hair while wet, she was not gentle and felt like half my hair ripped out. The blow dry heat was also very hot. So a warning if you have fine hair - I would definitely go again but ask for modifications.

I went in asked for a full set french tip, the lady at the front said $55 then the person she assigned me to had no idea what I was even asking for so they gave me someone else (nice girl) but I did not get what I asked for and was charged $70 for an awful experience. Do not go here the girl at the front was initially gonna charge me $85!!!! INSANE. See below for what I requested vs what I got.
