Merab Salon

Ladies!!! I've worn braids my whole life. I've been to a plethora of braiding salons and Merab reigns above them all. I got jumbo notes for my vacation and it took less than 1.5 hours. I'm speechless. My time was respected and I appreciate that the most. The ladies were very polite and made sure that I was pleased with the work. I can't wait to come back. If you need braids, I beg you to visit Merab in Richardson. The salon is beautiful and very clean too!

I love the entire staff have been going here for three years. Very professional , my braids are always neat and last at least 2 months. I promise you will be satisfied oh their prices are unmatched I’m always out within 4 hours or less . I get box braids butt length . If you live in the DFW area please go check them out! This was my first time going to Merab Salon and I was really excited about it because it was recommended to me by a few people. Sadly, my experience was not good. I booked large boho middle back and the braids are definitely small/medium. I was disappointed when seeing how small they were but decided it wasn’t that big of a deal. The quality of the braids is extremely poor. 90% of my braids have hair sticking out and my hair was not tucked so my hair is sticking out as well (pictures are from a few hours after I got them done). I needed my hair done for vacation but I am so embarrassed and unhappy with these, I am going to take them out. This was unfortunately over $200 down the drain.

I’ve been coming to this salon for braids for past two years and have been here over five times. Unfortunately, over time the quality has gone down. At my most recent visit, the parting was not neat at all, and the sizing was inconsistent. I’ve always liked the convenience and speed, but for the price, I expected better attention to detail. It also seems like the pricing has increased recently.

I’ve been to them maybe 6 times bc they will usually have at least 2 people working on my hair so I’m in and out in 2-3 hours which I like. The hair usually looks fine when done, standard braiding. However, about 4 of the 6 times I’ve been there Ive not had the best experience. For example braiders pushing my head to one side really hard while braiding. I even had to ask one braider if she was ok. I switched up my normal braid choice and decided to do crochet locs one time. This braider was sweet but inexperienced even though it was an option on the website. My hair was coming out of the locs a few days later. I called the salon and left a vm bc I wanted them to take a look and see if they could fix it. I got no answer, called back a few days later and left another vm. No one ever called
