Melania Dominican Hair Design

I have been a client for the past 3 years and I typically don't do reviews but I have to say Melania Hair Design is MY preferred Salon. I love the hospitality, the professionalism and quality of the hair care over the years. When I first came in I was met with a warm smile from Melania herself. She has never changed up, always caters to my needs and desires. My hair was damaged and shoulder length when I first started to come here. Melania told me to trust her AND the process! I came regularly and consistently and followed all her advice and now my hair is radiant, healthy and waist length!!!! I love my hair, I gain my confidence back and I'm confident I'll reach my ultimate goal of butt length hair!!! It’s my first time visiting this place and I must say that I am impressed! My stylist, Ruth did an awesome job. Didn’t get the name of the person that washed my hair, but she was also amazing. These ladies were very professional, and did the job with patience (cos my hair was in a bad shape after taking off braids a week ago). I was in and out of the salon in less than 2hours. The only odd thing here is that they do not have a price list. Even though it’s affordable, I still believe one needs to know the cost of the different services offered here before you get into it. I might take off 0.5 stars because of this (lol)

I went to get braids from them she ended up doing starter locs and didn’t even make them even not only that she pulled on my hair and put some weird orange gel in my hair that reeks. I had to shampoo 3 times to get the nasty smell out

Rude barber . His first week there. Couldn’t get through a haircut without sucking his teeth or sighing really loud. He got irritated and caught an Attitude with me because I winced when he sprayed what I thought was alcohol. all in all terrible experience. My last haircut here after 16 years at this place . I’ve had bad experiences here before but nothing to compel me to write a review until today.
