BEWARE!! This place is a disgrace. A friend took her father there yesterday Tue. 11/25/25, today is Wed. 11/26/25 and paid $30 for a completely botched skipped and foul haircut. As you can see his face is still full of hair as well. This is so unacceptable that I don't even want to give them a star at all, but you have to in order to leave the review. STAY AWAY from these rip offs. And the have the audacity to name themselves Mecca!

For being on a college campus this place is just a mess. I saw another comment speak about this, but they charge you for a hair wash that they don’t tell you they’re giving you. I waited for about 35 minutes after for a barber who had no respect for my head and what I asked him to do with it. He stopped several times while lining me up to go and have conversations with whoever, And my total came out to 50 bucks (the hair wash included). There are far better barbers in Philly for you to spend that kind of money in there.

Got a haircut a month and half ago. New customer to the shop so when walking in the owner wanted me to get my hair washed by a young lady who refused to speak. He kept encouraging her to speak, but she wouldn't which was unprofessional. After the haircut, she finally started talk when she wanted to get paid $10. I asked the store owner how can I pay for something, I wasn't even told the price of or given the option to reject? He acted as if it wasn't his problem anymore and said "just pay the girl". That cemented me never stepping foot in this shop again. So watch out for this shop, especially if you're a new customer cuse they will hustle you if you don't know what services they are giving you. Simply put, expect to pay for everything. Even when they don't speak up. Better barbers out the

Excellent service. Gets you in and out. Best to call for appointments because shop can get busy. I have a excellent barber who does me, my husband and my son's. Always there ready to work and shop has good music and vibes.

Went in for a simple big chop and SOMEHOW they managed to mess it up. All you need to do is take a guard and run it through the whole head. Simple enough that I know how to do it and I’m a GIRL. This old man literally freestyled on my head gave me a fade??? But only in the back??? I’ve never gotten a worse haircut in my life. Save your coins and go somewhere else!!! Unless you’re fine with leaving in tears of course. MECCA please hire barbers that know what they’re doing. The damage they have done to society is enough
