McDuffie Progress Newspaper

I was falsely named in a recent publication by The McDuffie Progress as someone who had been arrested for robbery. This is 100% inaccurate. I have never been arrested and have no criminal charges of any kind. The person referenced in the arrest report is my father, Ambrose Sleister II. I am Ambrose Sleister III, a former teacher in McDuffie County, and this misidentification has already led to multiple people contacting me under the false belief that I committed a crime. This is not just sloppy reporting—it has caused real harm to my reputation and well-being in a community where I’ve worked hard to serve and educate others.
