Maya nails & spa

This is a update on my experience at Maya's nail and spa. As always, I am very pleased with my nails. The atmosphere is very relaxing. At this present time, I like Builder Gel Nails. It lasts very long and they have an array of colors to choose from. If you like Dip Powder or any other nail service such as Ombre they do it all!💯

I cane in after a 4 week fill at another salon in the area, which was a rushed job, and had 4 or 5 nails that were loose. Once we started, we realized that almost all of those nails had water get trapped underneath and caused “greenies” - the worst and the reason why I stopped getting nails done! But once she got to work on my nails, which included a soak, cut, and a more natural look, I could not be more pleased with the result! I’m new to the area and looking for a salon, and I just found one! Thank you soooo much for restoring my nails 🫶🏽 the before and afters are scary (in a good way)!

I visited this nail salon with my niece for her birthday, and the experience was far from satisfactory. The owner, Maya, did my niece’s nails. Although I initially requested a full set, my niece wanted one nail on her ring finger painted a different color. Unlike other salons that don’t charge extra for multiple colors unless it’s a design, this salon charged additional fees, which I reluctantly accepted. Maya repeatedly pushed me to get my niece ombré nails, which I declined several times before finally agreeing. While the application was decent, some nails were out of shape. I also got a fill-in and requested a design with five different nail tip colors featuring a cheetah print. However, the design did not resemble the picture at all and was quite disappointing. I went here for a pedicure, and I will not be back. The nail tech was efficient and detailed, however he never asked me what pedicure I wanted. Also, my polish flaked off less than a week after my appointment. The entire toe peeled off in one large piece, and this happened with every toe within a week’s time. This kind of quality and lack of prepping the nail for polish to stick is sloppy and unacceptable, especially for a professional salon.

Update 5/3/24: Maya is still doing her thing! Love this design. Lasted over a month. Came back today for a fill in. Best nail salon ever! I always have a great experience here. Maya is amazing! Kim is great as well. Im so glad I made my way back after trying out 2 other salons around.
