Maxwell's Barbershop

Derek is great. I have been going to his shop for almost year and he has been spot on every time with my beard trims and hair cuts. Also I like him so much I bring both of my boys as well and he has done a great job with their hair as well. One has a cow lick that has been tough to manage but Derek nails it every time. My other boy has board straight thick hair and does a fantastic job managing it so it does not stick up straight. I cannot say enough positive things about Derek and his shop. The music selection is also perfect in my opinion!

I randomly found this barber shop after moving back to the Queen City (was in Colorado for 8 years). He took my walk in no problem, explained the way my hair was growing and how it should be cut. He did say appointments are better and they are more guaranteed, which I didn’t mind him mentioning that. I just needed a cut bad and went on a whim. We had great conversation about life and everything, I now come and see him every 2-3 weeks for a haircut and product whenever I need it. Derek really takes pride in his business and welcomes everyone into his shop. He’s a friendly guy, humor like no other. He’s certainly gained a customer for life and I have no other plans to go anywhere else!

Derek is always extremely professional and a great guy. I always enjoyed going to the shop and never left disappointed. He fosters a great atmosphere and I always enjoyed how meticulous and skillful he was when it came to my haircut. Would definitely recommend this shop to any who are interested.

But what truly set Derek apart were his gentle hands and unmatched attention to detail, ensuring a shave like no other. As someone who typically struggles with irritated skin post-shave, I was left in awe. Even a week later, my skin feels superb, a testament to Derek's skill — especially considering I've paid more than double at other places for lesser results. Derek is a one in a million fantastic barber. Not only is he highly skilled but he also cares about his customers. Very personable guy and ensures that every customer is happy with their haircut. When he believes that a haircut could be made better than what was asked, he’ll make that suggestion.
