I have been coming here off/on for years and have been overall satisfied. I called to come in & get small/medium knotless length below the bra line. I was told by Maty the lady that was doing my hair was her neice. Well she was the laziest braider I have ever encountered. She would not stand up one time while braiding my hair, kept pushing my head down and leaning down putting her weight on my shoulder to install a braid had me in a uncomfortable position instead of adjusting the chair higher or just standing up. Anyway, after installing each braid she would not braid the hair all the way down which obviously will result with longer braiding time. So after she got all the braids in, now she wants to rush and ask another braider to help her finish braiding them down. The helper starts braid
I usually never have a problem here I been going here for two years besides then telling me to come at one time and having me wait two hours my hair usually come out ok this time I got bohos for the first time I was the first one in the shop and last one to leave which was crazy to me cause other people that got almost that same style left before me that came in after me I’ll say 3 days later my hair was still tight supper tight to the point my scalp was so inflamed it pulled my hair out I have to put hair drops in my hair I spent $300 on braids so I know it sound crazy but I wasn’t bout to take them out I ended up washing the and my hair is still red 3 weeks later and my scalp has sores all over it the only thing that helps is these drops I got from the doctor i don’t know what they got g
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I went on 12/28/25 to get jumbo knotless braids (please see what i wanted and what I got). The lady started my hair right away (can't remember her name but she is an older heavy-set woman with glasses). I showed her the pictures and video of what I wanted. When she gets to the side of my head, I realized how thick and bulky she was making them. Literally, it was bulky at the top thinner at the bottom. I told her they were too big. I showed her the picture again and literally she begins to debulk my hair. She debunked the first braid perfectly and proceeded to make them big again. I had to go to work, I called and spoke with the manager who said that I can either get half off my next style from the same person that played in my hair for hours o
I've been coming here for years, literally since I was in High School. After today I will never be going back. First off I was charged $250 for small butt length knotless braids. The woman who did my hair sprayed my hair and scalp with pump it up spritz before braiding to make it easier for her to grip the hair. I have never heard of or seen anyone spray someone's scalp and hair with spritz to make it easier to braid. I was pissed and had to ask her to stop. I came in the shop with clean detangled hair, she sprayed so much spritz on my hair til it was too hard for her to even part the hair properly without ripping my hair at the ends. I didn't get the color I asked for which was 27 and 30 mixed, the hair is all 30. The boxes are huge and long. I feel ripped off $250 for small knotless. I e
Good rating removed! I am livid about my hair. I absolutely hate it. Update: let me say this, I have seen Maty work. I was very impressed by my hair and stylist the FIRST TIME. First impression is everything. I just returned over the weekend. From my experience this weekend I had to come back, give an update and remove three stars. First of all, I was charged $200 for medium braids, the FIRST TIME I got my hair done. SECOND TIME, I was charged $200 for large knotless. Make it make sense! You just charging $200 for large and medium braids?! I believe PRICE board’s are MANDATORY for any business operating in the state of PA?! Long story short…I hate my braids. All that praising I did previously, down the drain. I was price gouged, my hair was rushed and I’m just not happy with the outcome,
