Maty African Hair Braiding

The session seemed very short. My hair was pulled harshly as if she didn’t want to do my hair. I asked for barrels and got braids. When she was done, I noticed the plumpness in my scalp but she didn’t. She didn’t put any condition or foam afterwards. I paid the least amount for my hair since 2021. The photos are after my walk home, not at the shop.

I have been going here for over 20 years. I love the women here, they became family! The service is excellent & they can be extremely busy at times. The place is always clean & the prices are reasonable! My favorites are Maty, Fauto, & Tee-Tee. They are honest if they can't do a style or if your hair texture can't take a style. Also, they are willing to try any style you show them if it's doable!

Just started going to Maty's in the Spring. You show or tell which style you want and they can deliver. I don't mind paying the price to get my hair done.

Ms Maty is always accommodating when I visit her shop. Don't need an appointment. Sometimes the wait is a bit long but she tries to get me in.

I got braids done and my natural hair was left out. This could lead to hair tangling. I had an extra pack of hair which the braided didn't think to add to use to cover my natural hair. I paid and left. The next day I went back to let them know I didn't like it and needed my hair fixed. She told me to come back at 3pm and I need to pay more money. I left and I never received a phone call from them.
