Massage Envy

I felt the need to give another review due to my last one being one star. The manager was the only thing this visit, she did not say hello or even smile. (Maybe due to my negative review 3 weeks ago, BUT I still became a member) The rest of the staff is amazing, Sidney is a young esthetician that I would recommend to anyone. I have extremely sensitive skin and have not had a facial in years before having one with her 3 weeks ago, due to a couple bad reactions after facials. Today was my second facial in years with Sydney and I could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend if you want a facial to go to massage envy and ask for sydney. My husband had a membership for a year that he specifically told them he did not want an auto renewal, yet Massage Envy auto renewed him anyway. He had to call several times to get it straightened out and had 2 credits (massages left after his membership which is valid until April 2026). For Valentine's Day he booked us a couples massage for Friday night at 7:30pm, Massage Envy changed it to 8:30 pm, then they changed it to 9:00 pm. We did not want to go that late and changed it to Sunday at 1:00 pm. Last year I was gifted a massage at this Pompano Beach location, and it was hands-down the worst massage I’ve ever had. The experience was anything but relaxing—starting with an aggressive sales pitch to become a member before I even got to my appointment. This location is terrible. Such an off-putting used car salesman vibe every time I walk in the door. They conned me into creating a duplicate account that I paid for a years worth of massages with. I didn’t realize I was still getting billed for months. The staff member lied to get me to sign up from the very beginning. I was not going to renew because I already have an account elsewhere. I did not want to be stressed out every time I get a massage: constantly getting up-sold with sleazy sales tactics every time I come to relieve stress. The staff is literally harassing me.
