Massage Envy

If you plan on surprising someone special in your life with a massage as a gift, I advise you to not use this location. I had a surprise appointment made for my girlfriend for Feb 15th at the Massage Envy franchise located in Milford, CT. I specifically researched appointments with a female provider and booked the 90-minute massage for 2/15 with Susan. They called me Friday to confirm the appointment and let me know in the voicemail they left that if I cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment, I would be charged a fee. So, no worries. I was very excited to be giving my girlfriend this gift. At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, less than 24 hours before the appointment, I received a call and voice mail saying Susan had "called out" for the next day (Sunday, 2/15). So, my appointment was cancelled.

Booked a massage for 9:30 and sat and waited for 30 minutes in the waiting area before someone came to tell me my massage therapist called out for the day which sucked BUT THEN the manager and another therapist were so so soooo kind. Very accommodating, could tell they both felt bad. Rebecca was WONDERFUL she took me on her break and the manager threw in an inhancement for the inconvenience. So I will say…. Things happen and while I started off a little annoyed, everything worked out and everyone at the Milford location is truly wonderful

Had a beyond disappointing experience and was told I’d hear from the manager the following day… it’s been 9 days now, and I still haven’t heard from anyone. Don’t know if they charged me/took a massage off my account? OG issues: (1)it so loud next door and in the hallway of the Massage Envy that it was impossible to relax. Flinching at the constant banging, the masseuse even jumped a few times. (2)the room was so dry I could not breathe. It was painful to lay face down. I asked multiple times to be able to sit up to sip water. I nearly stopped the service. I guess I should have. Anyway, it is a really uncomfortable and not at all relaxing environment and they don’t seem.. to care?

Very poor attitude when it comes to calling the receptionist do not explain and very rude I have nothing against massage envy, but I do not like the way I’m treated there. We’ll find another place. Receptionist girls are not nice.

My wife and I have been members for many years. From the front desk staff to all the therapists, they are kind, courteous and helpful. It does take some time finding the right therapist for your specific body type and preferences in massage, but that would be true anywhere. Prices are fair and reasonable, and I really like being able to visit other Massage Envy locations when I'm traveling. Highly recommended!
