terrible experience speaking with the front desk at massage envy germantown. to be nice i’ll just say front desk “Lala” spoke to me extremely unprofessionally and couldn’t take accountability for their centers mistakes. i was a member and when i was, i gifted one of my massage sessions to a family member. this gifted session was under his own profile.. when I cancelled my membership in November I was told I had 60 days left to use my remaining sessions on my profile. I was NEVER told the gifted session under someone else’s profile would be expiring as well. My sessions expired in January. The family member who I gifted a massage session to, called February 4th and made a massage reservation for February 20th. I've been a monthly member of Massage Envy since 2019, back when they were at their Town Crown location. My patronage followed them during their relocation to Germantown because I value the rhythm established both with the massage therapists and with the front desk staff. I'm grateful that Lala and Ashley take care with scheduling duties (that the app might not otherwise facilitate), and are available by phone (rather than being routed to a call center). I'm similarly grateful that Peggy at Germantown and Peter at Rockville help keep my tech neck in check with skilled and therapeutic pressure. Horrible customer service. I called today as a brand new customer because I received a complimentary one hour massage session card. The woman who answered the phone was horribly nasty and rude. She asked for my phone number, I indicated to her that I have never had a massage in my life and was a brand new customer. She then informed me that I already had a profile in her system. I asked her how that was possible but she did not answer. I then questioned her about the complimentary one hour massage session gift card that I was given and she indicated that she could not help me with this. We went back and forth and I tried to clarify how I could be given a card and then they refuse to allow me to use it, but her tone, her words and her responses were like nothing I've ever dealt with. I treated a family member to a facial. Made it clear it was his birthday. All he got was a hello & she got right to it. He didn’t get any preview or conversation as to the products that were being used, the steps of the facial, nothing. Massage envy used to be so much better.

There’s nothing like pampering yourself with an amazing massage from Peggy! She’s hard to get an appointment with so book early. I actually love it so much that I have a membership and go every other week, it’s so much cheaper! It’s ME TIME! Front desk staff is friendly and inviting! Get there at least 10 minutes early to sit in their relaxation room and remind yourself to breathe and relax before going into your massage! Trust me, it makes a difference to your experience. Plenty of free parking right in front! Also, if you can splurge, go for 90 minutes! So worth that extra 30 minutes to decompress!
