Massage Envy

I have been going to this spa for over a year, and it is clearly documented in my chart that I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide, a very common ingredient in facial cleansers. I have had 5–10 facials over the past year through their loyalty program and have never had an issue because they were always careful to use safe products. However, during my most recent facial — after I had canceled my subscription — they used a product containing benzoyl peroxide on my skin. This is an allergy that is clearly noted in my file. Within hours of the facial, I began experiencing hives and significant swelling. I immediately called the front desk to confirm what had been used, and sure enough, they admitted benzoyl peroxide was applied. I was told a manager would call me back. That never happened. Meanw

This lady went to work on me chile! She took her time got all the spots and had me in awe! This was the best experience ever. I got the deep tissue and Babbeee…..She got deep and loosened me up! I felt so good. I was a little sore the next day, not in a hurting bad way but tolerable. I definitely recommend. You are getting a great service for a good price. I hope they don’t change up with prices and services. This is what people like and keeps them coming back. Excellent job.

Be carefully, Mindy the “owner” who will only give you her first name does not take inclement weather into consideration of cancellation. Extremely rude when trying to reschedule as the snow changes over 4 hours earlier than expected for today’s for 18-24” of snow expected. Completely unprofessional conversation and have already contacted Massage Envy Corporate for this unprofessional first encounter. She owns Dover, Concord, and Christiana.

MINDY the “manager” of the dover location is very shallow, unprofessional, and a horrible representative of the company. I gave my son, an Air Force active duty soldier in Dover training for the special forces a membership to aid in stretching and massage. He was only able to go twice and had a horrible experience both times. I’ve spent almost $900 over the year. The spa would not waive the $10 fee to donate a massage to another soldier. This franchise has made a free $700+ but would not let me gift a massage to one of our military without additional charges. MINDY treated me with this middle school like mean girl sarcastic tone. Update: I signed up for the monthly program because when I did I was informed that I would be able to switch the account into my Husbands name once I needed to have neck surgery. Due to the time of recovery and the fact that I wouldn't be able to use my account for several months, I was told that it wouldn't be a problem at all. Now, when I need the account switched due to medical reasons the "franchisee that owns this establishment will not allow this". Also when asked, they will also not answer a phone call but will hide behind an employee. Sad. The staff is great! Not one massage therapist was bad at all. Its the ownership that is the problem. If an establishment tells you with a smile that they will accommodate you during a medical issue then hide and not honor the request at the time
