Mass Professional Hair Braiding

Very unprofessional and rude. Will complain about everything. I came in with an appointment for my 7 year old daughter and they automatically assumed she was going to cry. I had already prepped and detangled her hair but they didn’t know cause they didn’t even let her get in the chair before trying to refuse the service. I didn’t let them bully me though. I told them I know my kid, she’s been getting braids her whole life and her hair was prepped. They did the service & sure enough my daughter was fine but they had an attitude the whole time.

Completely unprofessional. I called last week to book an appointment for this week (Monday). I was asked what I wanted—I asked for medium knotless braids. I was told “ok.” I replied by asking what time my appointment was?!? I was told “we open at 10.” On Monday I showed up and waited until 10:45am outside their LOCKED salon waiting for them to show up. Nobody showed and of course nobody called to tell me that my appointment had been canceled because nobody took my contact info when I made me “appointment.” Customer service is a ZERO for me. Would NOT recommend.

I moved to Mass almost a year ago from Brooklyn. I'm shocked this place doesn't have many reviews. Twice I've gotten my hair braided here. Once I got waist length box braids and second cornrows in the front with box braids in the back (past bra strap). The two women are professional and nice. The shop is a typical braiding shop. I don't know how well they do styles that are currently trendy like "feed in". As far as standard styles they're up to par. Prices are what I paid in NY so I don't know what is "pricey". For me, they are worth the money I paid.

I will give credit that they did a good job with my braids, it was very quick and efficient. Although, I was offended that my hair was called “Nappy” and that they were so close to not doing it because it was. That’s NEVER been an issue whenever I’ve gotten braids. As a stylist it’s your job to deal with all hairstyles!

1.They charge you what they want to charge you that's why there is no price list posted anywhere in their store for basic services. My hair braider was an hour late, with no explanation or apology, then had the nerve to charge me $70 extra for a hairstyle I showed her the day before. She originally said it would cost me $130. I ended up paying $200 for micro-braids I never asked for when I specifically told her I wanted medium sized Box braids which would have cost $130. 2. They will delay your service or leave you in the middle of braiding your hair to go behind the counter and pray for 10 to 15 minutes without warning or even asking if that is OK.
