I booked with Mary for a behive braid down. She said I should book “cornrows straight back” on her booking website. I saw on the website that the listing said $30 -1hr ….so I’m assuming that’s the price. I also saw that there was a $30 booking deposit. Fine. I arrive at the salon and Mary spends 1hr braiding my hair. As I prepare to leave thinking I’d already paid, she tells me I owe a balance of $50. What?! Yes…$30 is the booking fee and $50 the cost of the braid down, she says. I told her that price was not quoted to me otherwise I would not have booked, because the max I would pay for a braid down is $50. She tried to argue with me about it not being negotiable but I stood my ground and offered to pay the difference for a total of $50. She said no and that I could sit down and she’d
