My family of 3 males enjoyed your salon for many years recently we have made appointments and there has been nobody there On Wed 21st 2026 January I had my hair cut by Demetrius he has always done our hair I asked him if I could make an appointment for my younger brother he gave me a appointment fot Saturday 24th at Ten o'clock I even canceled my vechile appointment I had so I could bring in my younger brother I waited 45 mins and nobody showed up and this has happend before to my other brothers you try to reach him and no answer I will now take our business elsewhere It's so unprofessional and rude

Absolutely love this salon, the owners are a married couple and the wife cuts my hair. They are both so kind and she does a fantastic job. The price was less than I expected, which I love because I was able to give a larger tip. She cut over 13 inches off in February and there was no 'long hair fee' like some other places will charge. Even though I moved from Issaquah, I still make the trip out to Markiel's because it is more than worth the drive.

I've been to a few barbers and hair stylists over the years. It's really difficult to find one you feel comfortable enough with to visit on a consistent basis and to trust with your appearance. Markiel has been my guy for years now and I haven't regretted it since the first day I walked in. Markiel is fast, knowledgeable, and a good conversationalist. He remembers things you talked about before and it's not rare to hear him contact other clients out of concern when things come up. He'll also keep you looking sharp no matter how much your hair has grown or fallen out over time.

I've been a client of Markiel for years! I'll never get my hair cut anywhere else. I cannot recommend him enough. He's a great guy, always friendly and personable, and is extremely knowledgeable in his craft. He and his shop are a foundational part of the historic Issaquah Front Street scene!
