Marisol’s Dominican Hair Salon

I have been bringing my daughter here for years and always impressed on how kind and professional the ladies are at Marisol's. Customers are asked exactly what they want not just signing in for beauticans to assume desired style. I am always amazed at how quickly hair is done. As a walk-in were done 90 minutes or less for long natural hair, wash, conditioner and trim. Sometime I request a hot oil treatment for her. The hair style last with wearing a bonnet and rollers two weeks. Reasonably priced and would recommended.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel strongly that I need to warn others — especially my natural-haired sisters. I visited Marisol Dominican Hair Salon in Marietta, and unbeknownst to me, they applied either a relaxer or some level of perm to my hair. Since that visit, my curl pattern has been completely ruined, and my hair will no longer revert to its natural state. You always hear these horror stories about salons secretly using chemical relaxers, and I never thought I’d experience it myself. But unfortunately, I did. The moment my hair was rinsed, I could smell the relaxer — and the damage was already done. Went to take my daughter to get her hair done. I expressed she had a ballet recital. Got her there at 3:30 at 4:30 she said it was going to be another hour. I walked in a hour later and still not done and two people are working on one person’s head. So instead of my daughter’s hair actually getting finished I had to leave and then they had the nerve to try and charge me full price. Not acceptable.

I was absolutely appalled by the behaviour at this store! I will NEVER SUGGEST GOING HERE. I have been there once great experience. However second time I arrived and asked for no conditioner and they told me I have no choice but to put the conditioner in my hair because Dominican conditioner is too heavy and greasy for my hair. She insisted I could not ever do my hair there ( her words ) if I did not place the conditioner in my hair. She told me to go wash my hair at home since I did not want conditioner. I would never return there!

I was at that salon 15 days ago, wanting to see if they could see me. Marisol spoke to me in a very unfriendly, authoritarian, and discourteous manner. She didn't make me feel comfortable. I don't recommend that salon.
