Sydney at Marigold Layne Salon is AMAZING. I genuinely have the best cut and color that I have had in the last five years. It was my second time at the salon, but the first time with Sydney as my hairstylist, and I honestly could not be happier. I have thick, long hair and asked for a balayage and a little bit of face framing brightness and Sydney delivered skillfully. I am so glad I found her! Highly recommend.

Megan did my bridal hair and my mom's hair. She did such an amazing job! She was so sweet and nice. The salon is beautiful,stylish, and clean. I highly recommend going here to get your formal hair or any hair services!

Visited here for my first haircut in 13 months, because of COVID after my barber stopped doing haircuts. Stevie, owner, cut my hair. She did an excellent job with the fade and gave me a great cut. I will definitely be going back for my next cut. The place is open, clean, and very professional. They also do other services like nails and hair coloring.

The salon is beautiful and the staff is very friendly! I went in for a big change and I got it, however… the cut wasn’t what I wanted. It was late and we were both tired, I figured I’d see if it grew on me… the next day I called the salon to see if she could make it shorter in the back, like I had originally asked. They couldn’t get me in for a few days, which is fine! I get there, and she cut it shorter in the back, but still took more length off of the front (like I didn’t want…) and it still wasn’t what I asked for, but it looked close after she dried it…. She walked me to the front, and charged me for another cut! So, I paid twice for a hair cut that still isn’t what I wanted. The next day, after I brushed it out, I realized it’s still really chopped up and nothing that I wanted! Supe

I used to drive an hour to have Stevee do my hair. She’s that talented and I value her so much! She’s created a space in McHenry where you want to be and hang out. It is so full of beauty and great energy. Marigold Layne is a gem for sure!
