I’ve been coming to this salon for a long time because I’ve always appreciated their work ethic and the way they’ve taken care of my hair. Unfortunately, my visit today was very disappointing and left me feeling uncomfortable. When I arrived, I noticed that the stylist who usually sits in the front I’m not sure of her name was being extremely rude and passive-aggressive toward me throughout the entire appointment. I had been waiting patiently for my turn, but she took three other clients before starting on my hair. Once she finally began, she immediately commented on my hair being damaged, which I already knew and had no problem with her addressing. Horrible experience!!! If you have 4B-4C type hair this isn’t the place for you. They put some type of texturizing or straightener in the shampoo or conditioner. I never had a perm in my life and after this salon experience I don’t have a curl in sight! My hair was falling out with every stroke of the comb from the root. You can see the straight strands from my natural hair in some sections. I’m so upset because I got a big chop 6 months ago and now I’m going to have to start over. I’ll never give them my money again. The least they could do is tell people they’re putting chemicals in their hair. I have a right to know that.

Haven’t been in years. With all the increased prices I’m looking for a few reasonable spots. Today I leaped and took the 2/5 Subway to Newkirk with a walk of a few blocks to the salon at 1274 Flatbush Avenue. Services included Wash/Set (w/ Conditioning of 15-20 mins) and Blow-dry all for $40 w/ Suly. I observed that the individual that washes your hair, sets and roll your hair, followed by blow-drying. There is a language barrier and they check scalp for weave pieces. You know some people tend to believe that black folk don’t think have real hair. Cash 💵 Only!! I supply my own shampoo 💆🏽‍♀️so i dont know what products they use. However if your scalp is sensitive or if you have a scalp/ skin (psoriasis) issue like myself I recommend bringing your individual products. There aren’t many dryer
