Mari Nail salon

I have been going to this nail salon for a while now, and I generally really liked Zoila. However, she gave me a pedicure a few weeks ago and was jabbing a sharp pedicure tool into my toes, when I screamed and asked her to stop, she continued to still jab the sharp tool into my toe. A week later, I ended up with a very bad infection in my big toe (pictures are inserted in post). I went back to the salon to show Zoila what she had done, which she denied everything and took no responsibility for her actions. I went to the foot doctor and they had to remove my entire toe nail. I have been in so much pain and can barely walk ever since. Awesome place, Latina owned I believe! This Nail salon is VERY clean, professional and affordable. Got a pedicure and they took their time and used good products. Was shocked at the price, most nail salons in this neighborhood are over priced and pressure you to get additional services. Definitely worth going.

For some reason I can’t respond to your reply to my last post. I’m really in shock that you are still taking no accountability for this. YOU did this, I never jammed my toe, the foot doctor specifically told me this was definitely from a pedicure with an unsanitary pedicure tool. The only pedicure I have gotten was from you guys. I did develop this infection a week later, but wasn’t able to see you until almost two weeks later. The entire toe was infected, and you were jamming that tool into my toe in a way you shouldn’t have. I cancelled the appointment because you weren’t taking any accountability for your actions, and I felt best not to be in your salon ever again after what you had just did to me. I became a regular because I lived a few blocks away and still love it here because the nail techs are all experts in what they do. Their regular manicures come out picture perfect (dont leave any weird gaps by the cuticle) and tend to last 1-2 weeks (with daily dish washing!) The place is very chill, no-frills, and has a mom and pop vibe so arrive with those expectations. My 10am appointment have started later than that because they really take their time with even regular manicures (which I think is what makes a great salon) This is not a Manahattan style in and out. They know most of their clients by name, have great prices, and enough variety of colors!

Probably one of the worst gel manicures I've ever gotten. I went in on Christmas Eve and asked the owner if they could do an extension on one of my nails (it broke) and shorten the rest a little. I was told yes but She ended up doing my friends nails (which were fantastic by the way) and I was passed to someone else. This is where the problems started. She cut me multiple times. Instead of using a cuticle cutter, she used the filing drill to manage my cuticles. After the 4th time I finally said "ow" and got an apology. How do you cut someone 4 times and pretend to not notice? I'm bleeding on you. Then she asked if she could cut my nails. I said yes - a little.
