Manhattan East Hair Design Studio

I hadn't had my hair cut in many years, and was open to suggestions from Stephanie. She gave me a perfect cut - flattering and easy to manage. I'm very happy to have found this friendly and very competent salon!

My first time visiting Manhattan East and I saw Alicia. I came in to this place having had a bad dye job at another salon. Not only did Alicia correct the color and give me a great curly-girl haircut, I ended up with the most BEAUTIFUL blonde color! Gorgeous bright sunny blonde -- no orange or brassiness -- and Alicia had to work from another salon's mistake! Fantastic!! 10 stars!!!

This was hands down the best experience I have ever had at a salon. The salon itself is beautiful, and all of the staff and stylists are friendly and warm. My stylist, Alicia, was lovely and listened to everything I asked for, resulting in my favorite haircut ever! I will definitely be returning, and i can't recommend it highly enough.

This is my favorite salon I’ve ever been to. My hair has two different textures—light and fluffy on top and thick and straight under. No hairdresser has ever cut my hair correctly until I came here and met Kathy. Kathy is an exceptionally skilled hairdresser. She is a great listener and understands your needs/wants even if you don’t have the right words to describe it. In addition, they work as a team. Kathy is one of their more experienced professionals but I have seen some of the newer hairdresser come over and ask questions and ask for feedback. And their work get reviewed by one of the more experienced hairdresser. I would trust anyone there to cut my hair because I know they are working together and they will help as required. Sylvie is the best! She always does a wonderful job cutting my hair, and she will listen to you when you tell her what you want. Not all stylists do that! I drive almost 4 hours round trip to have her cut my hair...so worth it!
