Alysia is absolutely amazing with my autistic son! We entrusted his first haircut with her and I am so glad we did. She doesn’t rush or force him and lets the appointment go at his pace. She also lets him move around while she works.

Alysia is professional and gifted in her trade, and has been easy to work with. She was able to schedule us right away for the consultation and our first appointment. We started with a pairing session that went so well my child was repeatedly asking to go back and see her. A few days later we went back for the actual haircut, and she even had acquired some new toys that she knew would help him tolerate the cut better. Alysia is very gentle, patient, kind and super skilled at working with a wiggly and nervous child. She utilized a lot of therapy tricks and tools to get him through when he was unsure, and she definitely gained his trust. Alysia is the best for cutting my son’s hair. She is patient and kind. My son used to fight us all the time, but she takes the time to understand him and make him comfortable. I cannot recommend her enough to autism clients.

Alysia is wonderful. She is so kind and patient with our 4 year old autistic son. She gives him all the space and time he needs to do his haircut comfortably, and she does a really good job on style as well! We have gotten so many compliments on his last haircut. We have had a very hard time at standard hair salons and were desperate for another alternative. We drive a good distance to see her and would follow her anywhere around metro ATL!

Alysia Lucas was was referred to us by Kevin Simmons and boy are we glad that he did! Her approach to the whole haircut was totally custom to our son's needs and positive motivations. His experience at regular barbers was getting progressively worse and they couldn't get it done, we didn't know how we were going to get his hair cut for preschool. Alysia's methods were tailored to our child and she was able to get it done. We will definitely be back and highly recommend her services.
