Manchester Makerspace is a place where you pay a monthly fee to have 24x7 access to the space and tools to create, build and collaborate on anything you want, or even just to hang out and watch what’s going on. The tool selection is pretty amazing. Some of the popular “shops” are woodworking, metalworking, auto bay, 3D printing, laser cutting, paint and powder coating, casting, recording booth, textiles, sewing, ham radio shack, lounge with pool table, and much more. I’ve gone in at night just to browse around and see what other tools are there that I’ve never noticed before. Members can take reasonably priced classes that get right to the point of getting you working on equipment and creating your fantasy project. I’ve been able to refresh some metal lathe skills that I haven’t used

Between all the tooling and the experience and mentorship the members offer, this is one of my favorite places to pick up new skills and test new ideas.

Manchester Makerspace is a way to have access to several large, well equipped workshops and knowledgeable craftsmen and women, without having to spend a lot of money. If you want to learn how to use the equipment, classes are offered. Some classes are free for members, while others are reasonably priced, and also offered to nonmembers. There's a new recording studio on the second floor, and the resource manager for the recording studio is a sound engineer, DJ. producer & remixer. I do a lot of designing, and use equipment here to do rapid prototyping and electronics repairs.

Love it. I can fix or make anything. Learning on regular basis about multiple art and machines to complete work of art.

This place is amazing. Classes to learn many different crafts and professions. Auto mechanics, metal working, wood shop, machine shop, electrical engineering shop, 3d printing, sewing, there's more but use your imagination. Open 24 hours. Might have to join, if I can find the time.
