I went to Joel because I have polymyalgia rheumatica, which affects the muscles in the neck, shoulders, legs, and butt. A relaxation massage does little for this, but Joel targeted the areas with muscle tension and actually gave me some relief. He also targeted some neuropathic pain areas with good results. I highly recommend Joel to anyone who needs a therapeutic massage!

After a year of pain in my legs/knee/ calf and several hundred dollars of imaging, PT, and changing up my exercise routine (stopped running, changed my lifting routine, etc)- I finally have found relief after ONE session with Joel! Joel's been treating me for shoulder tendonitis and impingement for about 3 years. Over the years I have seen many physical therapists for this problem. Many times pain and fatigue in one part of the shoulder migrates from the actual cause. Joel finds the offending muscle(s) and works them to allow spasm release and healing. My insurance covers physical therapy but not massage therapy. When my shoulder acts up, I'll go see Joel and gladly pay out of pocket for quick and effective treatment without a lot of BS.
