Mame Diara Hair Braiding

If you are ever asked to separate the hair, DON’T DO IT. After a long and stressful week, I wanted to take care of myself by getting my hair done. I thought of this place instantly because I walk past it daily and although they were pricier than other braiders nearby , I still chose this location because of the upscale service I saw walking in. I was told the cost would be $250 for 3-4hours with two braiders and that the cost of the hair would not be included in the price. I bought my own hair because I was quoted $50 bucks for 2 packs of hair but I was able to get 5 packs for $50. I love my braids, they look great AND it was so fast. I arrived around 6pm and left at 11 with smedium butt length braids!! Exactly what I asked for. Ndeye was my braider and she listened to every detail as I explained the style. I definitely will be back soon to do my hair at this shop again! Not only was everyone so polite and friendly, the place was clean and organized. I highly recommend!

Service was great. Not crowded and clean. However. Get some hand soap and toilet tissue in this place. It's a hair salon. All the customers and employees are women! Why was there no toilet tissue at 8am? A staff member had to go to the store to get this and only got one role. Are we not wiping? Then the soap ..hand soap is $2 at most. What u had was $1 hand soap and you watered it down so much it didn't lather let alone cleanse my hands. Do better on the hygiene.

I came in for braids and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. The stylist was rude from start to finish, handled my hair roughly, and asked me to help separate hair during the service, which I found inappropriate as a paying client. Communication was poor, and I felt disrespected throughout the appointment. On top of that, a Cash App fee was added at the end without being disclosed beforehand. I paid and left, but I will not be returning. Professionalism and transparency need improvement.

This place is horrible. if you have an opportunity to get ur hair braided somewhere else honestly take that opportunity. the hair dresser are VERY LAZY, this girl really tried to talk me out of getting boho knotless like what??? they were very stingy with the curly pieces they provided, my boho braids were not full at all. whenever i corrected the hair dresser at my hair she wouldn’t say anything unless i made a scene and made the manager aware of the situation. OVERLY LAZY HAIRDRESSERS!!!
