Mamalahoa Hot Tubs & Massage

For my partners birthday, I booked a couples massage with the twilight tub experience. The location itself is absolutely beautiful, and the front desk staff were very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, my massage was disappointing. I am a licensed massage therapist and receive bodywork regularly. I communicated the areas I wanted addressed, but they were largely overlooked. The majority of the session consisted of thumb and fist compressions with very little flow or variation, and it did not feel relaxing. There seemed to be minimal lubrication used, which created noticeable friction throughout the massage. WOW! What a great experience & an incredible part of our honeymoon! We got there a little early, and they were able to take us to the back to the hot tubs immediately. We felt 100% comfortable in our private hot tub area, where we showered & then soaked for 30 minutes. We then went & got a couples massage in a partially outdoor area. The sounds of the birds & the wind blowing the trees, it was just perfect. Not to mention, the best professional massage of my life. I am SO glad our hotel recommended this spa, it was perfect!!!

10/10 best thing we did on our trip to the big island. I would recommend to anyone coming for the ultimate relaxation! Make sure to book in advance. Staff was great about communicating prior to our arrival and had detailed instructions to help navigate. The scenery is breathtaking, a true tropical oasis. Relax in the hot tubs as you take in the sounds and sights of the forest, and get treated with a wonderful massage. If you are prone to mosquito bites make sure to bring some bug spray as the bugs are very active.

What a FABULOUS experience! The hot tubs are set in private outdoor huts surrounded by tropical greenery—absolutely magical. It happened to rain the day we went, but you’re fully protected except for a small round opening in the center of the roof, which actually made it even more relaxing. Booking was quick and easy, and they responded to my email right away. It’s a little hard to find since there aren’t signs off the highway, but not a big deal—we found it, and parking is conveniently located right at the arched entryway. We will definitely be back for more!!

One of the best massages we have ever had. Thank you. Set in a beautiful rainforest. It was such a lovely way to unwind.
