Makersmiths turns 10 years old. Make anything here. Great place to work on projects. Laser cutter, 3d printers, electronics shop, metal shop, wood shop and lots more.

long time member here, I'd live there if I could. members and volunteer staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I've been able to do so many projects now that I have the space to do them and access to equipment I wouldn't have if I was trying to all by myself.

Facility seems to have a pretty wide assortment of tools and projects. The staff seems very friendly and helpful. I met a couple people there and they also seemed welcoming.

Need a space to work or want to learn a hobby? This is where you go. Between this and the Purcellville location there are woodshops (both garage-scale and commercial-grade), woodturning, metal working, 3D printing, CNC, sewing & quilting, cosplay, laser cutter/engraver, coding/electrical/electronics/robotics, drones, welding, a smith, pottery studio and kilns, and more.

The makerspace is a great place to do your own projects, learn from others, help others, and just mingle. I have access to over a million dollars in equipment. I couldn't dream of having this at home. I can 3D print one day, build something in the woodshop the next, make ceramics, learn to sew, learn to solder (not so good yet), make tshirt vinyl logos for my shirts, and, and, and... I love it.
