Maison Beauty Salón

I wrote this review three years ago and just found it in my notes. Didn't realize I hadn't posted it. This review is more of the personality and character of the owner more than the services she offers because I've never had an actual service here. So this is character witness of sorts and judging from the full house each time I stop by to conduct business, I'm assuming she has her ish together. Ms. Maison is super! Friendly yet firm and gives back to the Valley Stream community. She is very kind and compassionate and I really like her vibe. She's also a generous soul. She and her staff and many clients are mostly Hispanic descent so if Espanol is your first or preferred language, you'll feel at home here. I had scheduled an appointment with Ms. Amparro. I arrived to a closed salon at my appointment time. Didn’t receive any notice of cancellation from Ms. Amparro. I never heard from her until I called later that day and she told me she had an emergency despite not getting any notice. I understood and made an appointment for 2 days later. Again I arrive to a closed salon. Again no notice. Again I didn’t hear from her even after I gave her my cell phone number so she can alert me if any cancellation in the future. But still nothing. Till I get home and try calling again and apologies for another emergency. Asks me to come in 30 minutes. Which I understood again and obliged. When I arrive she’s working with another client and tells me it’ll be a half hour wait. At this point I’m frustrated and

I had a hard time Finding a hair stylist who could do my hair. Every time I get my hair done I leave satisfied. Amparo has done my hair for the past 7 years
