Magnolia Hair Studio & Barber Shop

I moved to Homosassa, leaving behind a talented stylist and beautiful salon that I absolutely loved for 10 years. I felt amazing every time I walked out! So with that in mind, I went to Magnolia Hair Studio and saw Lauren to get my hair trimmed. First, when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was rudely abrupt. She told me I had to make an appt. directly with Lauren as she rented her chair, and gave me her phone number. That can be communicated without being rude. Second, first impression of the salon was disappointing (small, cluttered and dated). Third, I asked that my hair be trimmed, no layers, with a crisp edge. Took my 6yo daughter in today for her first ever wash and cut salon appointment. I asked when making the appointment about washing her hair before coming and they assured me they would wash it, so that’s what me and the kiddo expected, the full salon experience. We were disappointed when Wendy started cutting without washing her hair first, so I asked about the wash and Wendy said “Well, I can get it wet,” then proceeded to spray it with a bottle of water. She never did wash it. Kiddo was pretty bummed after we left, which was icing on the cake because we went to the salon because she was being picked on for her hair, and I wanted this salon expedience to help her feel and look amazing, yet she left feeling disappointed.

I've been searching for the perfect person to cut a short cut!! Wendy is incredible!! No need to search anymore!! She's great!! Thank you so much!! Can't wait for our next appointment!

My 93-year-old mother who is in a wheelchair goes here and gets her hair done once a week and Suzanne does a fantastic job and all the other girls are very good also
