Madjo's Hair Braiding

I got my hair done today by Maggie. She was Great I definitely would recommend her. This was my first visit at the salon. My hair came out exactly how I wanted it. All the ladies at the shop are so friendly and it’s Great Team work. Thank you Again Maggie. I’ll definitely be back.

I use to come here EVERY 2 months when it was run by Fery, now there are mostly new ladies working here. Although I didn't recognize anyone, me thinking that because of the quality of work I was getting 2 years ago was great, I assumed that now it would be the same. Initially I was ok with the Senegalese because I had a migraine and was ready after sitting 8 hours. It was only until the next day when I realized the the twists were very sloppy in the mid section and in the back and they were all different sizes!! I'm use to perfection, and considering that I paid good money, I expected NOTHING LESS!!!! I take my hair seriously. Never again!!!!

This place is now called Fery's but it is the owner and staff. I had a horrible experience. The only good thing (and reason for the one star) is that I called on Saturday for an appointment on Sunday morning. Here are the reasons I won't go back: 1. Although there is a coupon on the website for $20-$40 off, they won't honor it. I called the day before and explained the style I wanted (large Senegalese twists) and was told the it would cost $180. When I got there, they asked for payment up front and confirmed that the price was $180. Once I pulled out the coupon Fatima/Fery stated that she couldn't take it because: 1. There was a special for the day & prices were already discounted. 2. After I contested, she said my hair was too long and too thick and that the normal price would be $200. 3

I made an appointment and was seen at the appointed time. I got crochet braids and they were installed nicely and the stylist took her time, was very friendly and the prices are reasonable compared to other braiding salons in the area.

Never coming back. 2 yrs ago i would recommend this place to any and everybody. My most recent visit was the worst. BraiderS were very rude and upset because I wanted an $200 hairdo. I use to spend $250 on my Senegalese and it was well worth it. The new braiders are lazy and rude. Also the kinkalon hair they now use is very cheap and its sheds like crazy. 👎🏾
