Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Corte Madera

EDIT to add that Madison Reed contacted me to offer a redo or refund. I was very grateful for their outreach and impressed at this level of customer service! I made a last minute appointment and asked for ‘warm caramel’ highlights for my dark brown hair. I showed the stylist an inspiration photo and she seemed confident she could achieve the look. She was very pleasant, applied the foils and then left to attend another client. After 20 minutes a 2nd stylist came to check the results and remove the foils and then a 3rd stylist applied the toner. The result was a full head of dark(er) brown hair with barely visible highlights. I think there was a real communication breakdown that could be avoided if just one stylist followed through on the entire process. The initial stylist offered to add

Despite the rainy day, the stylist helped me was wonderful. Patient, respectful and really helped me understand mistakes I had been making in coloring my hair.

I went to this color bar for the very first time: my first impression as I walk in is that it looks very impersonal and cold. After a few minutes, someone finally welcomes me asking if I have an appointment. She then shows me where to sit (a very cold L-shape bar without mirrors) and walks away. I wait another 15 minutes before a second person comes to me. I am told to wear the protection blouse by myself. The services I originally booked were roots + gloss. I have a short hair and my natural color is dark brown. Honestly, at this point, I don't really know if it is what I need (I have different layers of color and 100% grays). It looks like the stylist does not really understand my fairly simple expectations: I want a full coverage of my grays and a brown tone that would not be too dark s

I always LOVE going to this location of Madison Reed - they are the nicest people!! Started going in 2020, and been consistently very happy with my hair coloring experiences. The staff go out of their way to welcome you, update you on your processing time, and ensure you have a beverage if desired. Beyond that, they are always friendly and welcoming, even when extremely busy. So grateful for them!! And also very happy with the color itself, lasts pretty well on my graying hair. I love their monthly membership deal too, which saves me about 25-30% over the non-member charges (which are still very reasonable.) Highly recommend!!
