MADE Makerspace

Such a great Art Center, Makerspace, and Event Space for adults. There are plenty of Community Classes (In the Makerspace), Events from author talks to fun artmaking and even professional events (In The Commons), and locally made shopportunities (in The Front Room store) that are open to the general public. And there's a plethora of professional-grade tools available to members in the Makerspace.

I've been a member at MADE since it opened. I live over 2 hours from St Louis, but I make my way up for weekend builds as often as I can and get so much joy out of building things. An apartment needed a small adjustable shelf system...MADE! My wife said, "We should have a house concert" I said, "Then I'm building a stage!"...MADE! And when I decided I wanted to mix paint, electronics and acrylic together to make a lamp, where else could I find a laser cutter, paint room and electronics bench...MADE! Take a tour. This place is *not* a kid's makerspace. MADE Makerspace is a place for adults to train and access tons of different machinery, equipment, and workspaces. We're talking angle grinders, bandsaws, welding, and other things that are not appropriate for young people. If you're looking for the kids makerspace, please google "Magic House @ MADE".

Made is a wonderful and inclusive space to build and practice the skills you need to be a maker of all kinds of things. The staff is very supportive, willing to answer questions and help at all times. It is a great space for my teen to learn how and safely bring his creative ideas to life. Their summer family membership is a great value.
