Mackrell's

Generally the experience with them for hair-cuts aren't that bad. But today, I had an extremely disappointing experience with Mackrell's Barbershop. They canceled my appointment not once, but twice, without providing valid explanations. When I contacted them for clarification, their excuses were feeble and unsatisfactory. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for customers' time is unacceptable.

I have been getting my haircut here for over 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Don't listen to the few bad reviews as after reading them they are untrue or at no fault of the shop itself. Sometimes there is a wait but the majority of the time over the 10+ years I am in and out within 30 minutes. It would be less if I didn't always wait for the owner to be available which is my choice. Friendly atmosphere, good barbers and fair prices.

Easily the best Barbershop around! The only proof you need is to attempt to book an appointment and you will see you need to book about a week in advance. This shop is definitely worth the wait. The best part is that he runs a tight ship and is booked every twenty minutes so you don't have to wait long. No matter if you are the first cut or the last cut, you get the same great service. I would never go anywhere else after going here. Book early and show up early so you don't miss the best cut ever!

Great shop in a very accessible center city location. During my multiple trips I've seen little kids, high schoolers, college age clients, young professionals, and some elderly folks. All appeared to leave satisfied with their cut, and I was extremely happy with mine. Superb attention to detail, focus on the individual, good conversation, and a high quality cut. The shop appears new, clean, cool atmosphere/decorations, and a nice waiting area with a television and a good mix of magazines. The wait is never long, and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend, and I'll be going back regularly.

Hands down the best barbers I've ever been to. They're willing to spend as long as it takes to get it right and have a lot of great touches like using a straight razor on the back of your neck so it doesn't itch. As if that wasn't good enough to get you to try them, a cut is only $14! I used to spend at least twice that much in Philly for an inferior cut.
