Diamond in the rough shop. Ghetto shop location/area but safe in reality. tons of close and free parking. Next to Green line CTA train station. Clean shop. They use good quality hair, the best! The price was good, the lowest I've seen on the Westside of Chicago for box braids. They gave the best hair maintenance advice too!! Downside, I felt like my mama was braiding my hair, the way my braid tech kept pushing and pulling my head and my shoulders to make me move in a position that she liked. She Even yelled at me one time to get off my phone so she can braid my hair right. I'm laughing at it now but I was so upset in the moment, LOL!! In the end my hair looks amazing!!

First time, they did an okay job since I brought my own hair. However, my second visit was not satisfactory, and I won't be returning. I only went back because it was under $300. The braids are not neat at all; the ends are sloppy and undone, and they only look somewhat acceptable because I added human hair. I won't be returning and am very disappointed, feeling like I wasted my money and time.

Going here was a waste of time and money! I don’t know how they have so many good reviews!? Please stop telling people you know how to do triangle parts if you don’t know how. She kept tryna say because I asked for knotless is why my parts was not clean which is crazy. I usually braid my own hair, but did not have the time to and I KNOW it doesn’t matter if you do knotless braids, twist or not knotless the parts should still be clean and even triangles. I had to have her stop and take it down and she still charged me $40 for the hair she wasted on this bogus attempt on my hair. NEVER EVER AGAIN!
