Lydia Africa Hair Braiding

She is very unprofessional and my appointment was at 1:00 pm I’m just now leaving at 10:54 pm at night she had another person in the chair for hours before me then she braids very terrible don’t ever go here and it’s nasty and dirty.

3 days after getting my hair done and it doesn’t even look that way. They are loose, the ends are very nappy I don’t what kind of braid hair that was used but it wasn’t good I came before and said I would never come again but someone referred them I didn’t know it was them until I got there. Both times They were very rude, and slow, didnt give what I asked for sent her pics of my hair she say what you want your money back if you gonna give it to me I will gladly take it all I was doin was telling you my issue and you want to yell and get mad because you knew my hair wasn’t did to a shop standard.She went on to say that’s y I don’t do your sister hair(someone who didn’t refer me) but I had to stop her because it wasn’t about money I run a business as well and how she handled me it was unpro

Please DO NOT go to Lydia Africa Hair Braiding. If you have the first appointment they will be late and you will be standing outside waiting. They do more talking to each other in their language than they do braiding hair. They asked for a picture of what I wanted which I gave to them. It was a very simple style and my hair looked nothing like the picture. Trust me it was horrible. I took the braids out even before my husband could see them, that's how bad they were. And while I was sitting in the chair I saw roaches walking across the floor. Please find somewhere else to go don't waste your time and money as I did.

Lydia did a great job on my granddaughter but the shop was dirty and smelly. She repeatedly call me on my cell and lower the price to get me as a customer. She check the length of my granddaughter hair, which is not that long, and up the price before she stated braiding her hair. I refused and then she and 3 others began working on her head. One girl at first. After she begins to braid, almost half way, she tried again to get more money and again I refused. She continued braiding and then ask to be paid before completing the job. I did not like that at all she then asked again. I wasn't going any place without my granddaughter. My guy had to use the bathroom and piss was all over the toilet and floor. The couches were in horrible shape. I wanted her to do my hair too but changed my mind.

Very unprofessional! My appointment was at 12 pm today & she wasn't there! I waited until 1:03 pm & she still didn't show up. No call no show. The shop smells like Lincoln Park Zoo & it was filthy! This dude sleeping on the couch in the back. The couches were disgusting. Never in life will I go back.
